This short and sweet episode helps us know how to negotiate the landlord’s counter-offer.
When negotiating with a landlord on a tenant’s behalf Craig will sometimes receive a counter-offer from the landlord that seems high and the tenant’s first reaction is to feel discouraged. Craig reassures them that this is just part of the negotiation process; it doesn’t mean that they don’t want you as a tenant. Craig calmly goes through each item in the counter-offer. He keeps the dialogue rolling because you don’t know what their deal killers are and they don’t know what your deal killers are either. Craig has seen plenty of high counter-offers go on to be fruitful deals!

Have a fantastic day!
